BREAKING NEWS: Fatai Rolling Dollar Is Dead

It has been reported that veteran highlife musician Fatai Rolling Dollar, is dead.

photo Unconfirmed reports surfaced, saying that veteran highlife musician Fatai Rolling Dollar, is dead.

Born 22nd July 1926, Rolling Dollar was known for his verve and dexterity on the guitar.

His zest for life and energy, even in old age, was also a marvel to all who beheld him perform.

We stay so preoccupied in our day to day life that the thought of growing up and aging doesn’t even cross our minds. Even if it does, we are too busy to take steps to prevent our face from wrinkles or prevent our hair from turning grey. However, there is a lady who deserves insurmountable credit for maintaining herself like a girl in her youth.

The composer of Nigeria's National Anthem, Pa Benedict Odiase has passed on. Mr Odiase died last night in his sleep. He composed Arise O Compatriots” in May 1978.

Pa Odiase retired in 1992 as a Deputy Commissioner of Police after being the Director of Music with the Nigeria Police Band.

Governor Babatunde Fashola today Monday June 10th signed the cremation bill into law. The bill gives power to state authority to burn unclaimed corpses in its mortuaries after a period of time.

The cremation bill also states that if the owners of the corpse fail to show up to collect the ashes after a 14-day notice, it will be disposed by the state government subject to the consent and approval of the Commissioner for Health.
