According to TMZ, Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, and his three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II Jackson, are suing the entertainment giant for $40 billion, blaming it for hiring Dr. Conrad Murray.
The website says the Jacksons filed legal documents calling out AEG Live for its alleged negligent hiring and supervision of Murray during preparations for the “This Is It” tour in 2009.
Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the King
of Pop’s death, has been serving time in Los Angeles. TMZ also reports
the doctor will plead the Fifth Amendment and avoid involvement in the
AEG Live suit, as his lawyers say anything he says could be harmful to
an appeal of his conviction and possible retrial.

The civil case begins in Los Angeles on April 2.
