Katherine Jackson. TMZ says Dr. Conrad Murray, who is serving time in Los Angeles on an involuntary manslaughter conviction in Michael Jackson’s death, plans to avoid testifying in the Jacksons’ lawsuit for fear it could hinder his appeal prospects.
Per the gossip website, Michael Jackson’s children are asking for $10 billion from AEG Live for all of the future earnings their father would have made from the concerts and $50 million for various other damages.
AEG Live is said to be shooting down the hefty suit, saying Jackson’s career was on a downward spiral anyway and that the damage claim is based on rank speculation.
The civil case begins in Los Angeles on April 2.
