MTN Nigeria to Deliver BB Z10 Operating System to Subscribers

Nigeria's leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) company, MTN, says it has concluded plans with BlackBerry, makers of the brand new Blackberry Z10 smartphone, to deliver the new Blackberry 10 OS device to its customers in Nigeria.

It will be the first to bring Blackberry's latest offering to the Nigerian market.

With this development, MTN customers in Nigeria will be among the first users in the world to experience the new, wave-making Blackberry Z10 smartphone which is the first smartphone based on the re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented BlackBerry 10 platform. According to Larry Annetts, chief marketing officer, MTN Nigeria, among other unique features, the phone also offers superfast browsing, a sharp responsive display, an intelligent camera that allows for editing and photo sharing as well as trusted security.

"MTN is offering pre-order opportunities thus conferring on our customers the privilege of being one of the first to own the device in Nigeria. Not only that, those who pre-order will get the smartphone at a bargain price and they will be contacted for pickup at locations of their choice even before the phones become commercially available at retail stores. They are not required to make any deposits; they will simply pay on delivery."

Recall that MTN Nigeria has a long standing alliance with RIM, makers of Blackberry, dating back to 2007 when MTN Nigeria was the first telecommunications company in Africa to offer Blackberry on a pre- paid basis.

Nigerian Men That Don't Help With Housework,

How are you and yours? Hope everyone is fine. If so, thanks be to God.
My purpose of writing this letter is to inform you that you guys really need to start pitying your wives when it comes to the issue of housework.
Ejor, we understand that you are kings and monarchs and are very powerful and wonderful.
But abeg, try to pity your wives when it comes to the issue of housework.
I have seen different threads on Nairaland where men stated that they can not help with the housework because that is a woman's work or because if they help their wives she will start expecting them to always assist.
One thing you should realize is that you should help out if your wife contributes financially even if the responsibility of taking care of the house is expected to be that of the woman in the society we live in.
It is not easy for women, you have to understand this, having to run jobs and take care of kids and take care of the house all at once is not a piece of cake so please help out.

How would you feel if your wife refused to contribute money to help you with something you have dire need of money for, maybe your business? Or if she refused to contribute money for medical care that you might need for an illness someday in future? What if your wife refused to help you in such times because she believes that contributing financially to the house is something only the husband should do?
Kindly start assisting in the house, thank you. It doesn't make you less of a man.

Unilag Student Sold His Kidney To Graduate

A University of Lagos (UNILAG) student who couldn't swap kidneys to save his father’s life confessed in the hospital that he sold one of his kidney to graduate with a first class.

The 24 years old boy recollected how he sold one of his kidneys to the dean of his faculty a few days before his convocation. He says he was being threatened with the reality of having to spend an additional two years to his already prolonged eight years stay in the school.

He was nearly in tears while he explained why he couldn't donate his last and only kidney to his father who is in desperate need of a kidney to survive.

Despite him graduating with a first class, it is sad to say he has never been able to secure an adequate job.

So with no kidney, no job, and no money, how does this young boy expect to save his dying father?

No job and not enough money…and now he needs a kidney to save his dad.

The Significance Of Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday is always celebrated once in a year. In catholic church, it means that ''we are made from dust and in dust we shall return''. It also marks the beginning of lent and the beginning of the christian fasting of 40 days. It is a mourning period for the catholics. Happy ash wednesday as we go into the lenting period.
